The Eco option for textures; cork granules are both natural and sustainable as they are made from waste material from the production of wine cork stoppers. Cork trees are harvested for the first time at 25 years old by prying off the bark with specially designed axes, leaving the core of the tree unharmed. The tree is then left to regrow and the cork bark is subsequently harvested every 9 years.
Use Flints Texture Binder or Flints Wood Glue to bind, and add colour with water based pigments/paints or dry scenic pigment (mixed into thick paste before adding) to create all manner of scenic effects. It can also be used on it's own to dress a set.
